PHOENIX, AZ — "Chihuly in the Desert" by Dale Chihuly will come to the Sonoran Desert of Arizona on December 3, 2021, through June 19, 2022, from 8 a.m to 8 p.m.

This joint exhibition will be held at Desert Botanical Garden and Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West. Visit the two places to fully experience this dynamic exhibition. Tickets will be on sale on October 4.

Chihuly in the Desert features creative work by Dale Chihuly that combines art, architecture, and nature. These architectural artwork pieces look elegant during the day but only reveal their glowing splendor at night.

"I want people to be overwhelmed with light and color in some way that they've never experienced," said Chihuly.

Chihuly's installations at the Desert Botanical Garden will blend in harmony with the world-class desert plants collection. The Garden's track will be filled with glass artworks leading to the indoor gallery in Dorrance Hall.

“The Garden is thrilled to bring Chihuly back to the Valley since their first showing in 2008. We are co-presenting the exhibit with Taliesin West – both venues will be filled with extraordinary glass installations,” says Ken Schutz, the Garden’s executive director.

Meanwhile, the installations at Taliesin West will collaborate with Frank Lloyd Wright's creation pairing the work of two architectural-art prodigies in a single exhibition.

“Chihuly and Frank Lloyd Wright, two American originals taking inspiration from the country’s unique physical and cultural landscapes, are a perfect fit at Taliesin West,” says Stuart Graff, president and CEO of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation.
