San Diego Basketball Review
San Diego has been producing some amazing talent over the last few years and this season has been no different. With the mix of rim rattlers and lights-out shooters, San Diego has it all. As teams start to get in the thick of the league, let us take a look at our top ten list.
1. Jurian Dixon- Saints
Dixon is a long 6’6 guard averaging 21 PPG and can score at all levels! His Saints team is currently ranked 1st in San Diego and they are ne of the favorites to win the Open division.
2. Devon Arlington-San Marcos
Mcdonald's All American Nominee and Yale Commit. Arlington averages 20 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds per game while leading the Knights to a strong start to the season. His knights will be one of the favorites to win the Open division
3. Cameron Marshall- Patrick Henry
Mcdonald's All American Nominee and Creme Of The County 2022 MVP .
Cameron is putting up monster stats this season. Averaging 20 PPG, 6 RPG, and nearly 8 APG. Marshall is Considered one of the top offensive threats on the West Coast. Currently has three 30+ games this season and 9 double-doubles. His team will be one of the favorites to win a D2 Championship.
4. Jake Hall- Carlsbad
"Super Freshman" is averaging nearly 23 PPG and has helped the Lancers to one of its best starts in years. Hall had a 44 point game against Vista and a couple of 30+ point games already this season. The future is very bright for this kid!
5. Alexis Marmolejos- Army Navy
Marmolejos has been a threat all four years and is averaging 25 PPG his Sr. year. Alexis has games of 48 and 44 over the Christmas Holiday break.
6. Sebastian Medina- San Ysidro
Medina averages 20 PPG and 6 RPG. His team is considered one of the favorites in the open division. Sebastian had a 34 point game and a huge 60 point game against Bonita Vista.
7. Otto Landrum- Torrey Pines
Landrum is San Diego’s best big man this season. He’s led the Falcons to a 16-5 start and averages 22 PPG and 12 RPG. Has had multiple 30+ games and has one of the season's first triple-double.
8. Camden McCormick- Francis Parker
McCormick is putting up 18 PPG game and has recorded 5 double-doubles so far this season. Parker will be a threat come playoffs but it is to early to say if they will be d1 or Open Division.
9. Christian Brown- LCC
One of San Diego’s top shooters. He is averaging 15 PPG and close to 7 RPG. Christian has all the skill sets to take his teams far in the Open Division.
10. Christian Gonzales- Mater Dei
One of the top-scoring guards in Southern California. Gonzales has made his mark on the club circuit and as well at Mater Dei. Has tremendous range and can explode to the basket.
