This year marks five years since the opening of the newly revamped Front Street in Cuyahoga Falls. This location hosts many events throughout the year and has plenty to do even when events aren't occurring. To celebrate five years, there is a week-long celebration happening from August 7-13. There will be family-friendly events happening every day. Read on to see a sample of what will be happening.
August 7 at 7:45 p.m.
Monday nights from June 7 to September 30th, host the Don Sitts Riverfront Cruise In. Cars are welcome to come park and enjoy music from DJ Cadillac Mike. On the 7th, after the show, certain classic cars will make their way down Front Street for a car show.
August 8 at 6:30 p.m.
Are you interested in the history of Front Street and how it shaped Cuyahoga Falls? Come join in building tours by the Cuyahoga Falls Historical Society and learn all about the history of Front Street. After the history lesson, you will be able to tour historically renovated buildings. If you're interested in attending, head to the Downtown Pavilion located at 2085 Front Street.
August 9 from 5-8 p.m.
Collide: Cuyahoga Falls with local artist Ali Rich will present "Flying on Front: The Journey of the Nighthawk." You will be able to enjoy the presentation and then create sidewalk chalk creations. This event is occurring near the Downtown Pavilion.
August 10 from 5-8 p.m.
To celebrate five years, Cuyahoga Falls Parks and Recreation is hosting a Sesame Street Themed 5th birthday party. You will be able to find Sesame Street characters, giveaways, games, and entertainment. There will also be concessions that you can buy.
August 11 from 6-10 p.m.
Enjoy Falls Downtown Fridays with Hey Monea. This will be the last Falls Downtown Fridays and will have craft beer, local music, family-friendly activities, and food.
August 12 at 12 p.m.
Are you enticed by the prizes you can get for running 5k's but don't have the energy or desire to actually run that much? The 0.5K is for you. The Downtown Cuyahoga Falls Partnership is hosting a run that is less than a quarter mile. You just have to be willing to dress up and make fun of yourself.
