(Atlanta, Georgia) The World Series champion Atlanta Braves are back! I have all the information you need to enjoy the festivities of opening day.

The Braves and MLB have joined together to present, “Road to Opening Day” in Piedmont Park from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The address to Piedmont Park is 1320 Monroe Drive NE, Atlanta. The event is a celebration for the fans with free gifts, ballpark-themed snacks, and a chance to meet legendary baseball players. Check ahead if there is inclement weather as the time may change.

In addition to traditional opening-day festivities, the 2021 World Series championship pennant will be unveiled above right field. After being acquired through a trade in March, Matt Olson will start at first base and Fried, who won Game 6 of the World Series over the Astros, is scheduled to pitch.

There is standing room only tickets available. It is possible tickets are available for the Cincinnati Reds game on Sunday, and the Washington Nationals games on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Click here for tickets.

2022 Regular Season Game Schedule

On behalf of the Braves' victory in the World Series in 2021, a cheeseburger called "The World Championship Burger" will be available at the field. This burger is in honor of the number of years the Braves have been an official franchise, the burger is priced at $151 which includes a replica of the championship ring and waffle fries. For $25,000, the limited edition championship ring is included with the burger.

As a result of Kemp's extensions, the state's motor fuel excise tax will be suspended along with the suspension of state tax collection on locomotive fuel. Additionally, he renewed the State of Emergency for Supply Chain Disruptions.

Gas prices continue to rise in Georgia

For the time since 2008, motorists are seeing gas prices surge across the country. Tom Kloza, global head of energy analysis for the OPIS, which tracks gas prices for AAA states the national average is expected to hit $5 a gallon within the next two weeks. He said, "I think we reach $5 somewhere between this weekend and Juneteenth/Father's Day weekend." Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, and Washington, D.C. are among the states already at $5 per gallon. Kloza goes on to say, "Anything goes from June 20 to Labor Day," and "We could certainly see the national average approach $6."
