Opinion: Failures are often the result of giving up too soon, not knowing how close they were to success.

**This blog post is trying to explain the quote based on my opinion, thoughts, and thinking.

“Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.”– Thomas A. Edison

One of the best quotes I’ve come across is often attributed to Thomas Edison. It's a quote that captures the utter futility of giving up; in essence, it’s about persistence.

The quote begins by saying that many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up. In and of itself, that’s a pretty powerful statement. But even more powerful is how the quote ends, and here it is: "and when they gave up, they gave up too soon."

Wow! What a powerful statement! More often than not, I wonder how many people have quit too early. I think about this, especially when the accomplishments of others don't seem to justify their success. But then again, maybe people who are successful work harder than others, or maybe not.

I believe in the concept of hard work and perseverance. I also believe "chance favors the prepared mind". In my experience, if you're willing to grind it out, you will find success.

I'm writing this blog post as someone who almost quit too early. When I got admission to med school, it was very hard for me and my parents to pay the fees. I tried several ways to earn money and finally started writing a blog, and I got a bit of success, earning some good money that I can use to pay my medical subscriptions and fees.

To be honest with you, when I first started writing this blog, I didn't have the slightest inkling of the potential success I could achieve with it. In fact, in the beginning, it was more about having fun with words and sharing my stories about my experiences as a medical student.

But I have to say, writing a blog and expressing my thoughts has changed my life. Since I started writing my blog, I've been happier with life. I feel more confident as a person.

So I just want to tell you that giving up early is not a smart thing to do. I think it's important to learn from others' mistakes and you should never give up under any circumstance just because you make one mistake.

I wish you all the best in your life. Keep the grind going.
