Nimisila Reservoir, Summit Metro Parks, Snowmaggeddon, Winter Camping
Three crazy couples decided to go camping in the winter. What they didn't plan for was Snowmageddon! @EN ROUTE WITH CHUCK AND CHERIE, Barry, Cheryl, Heather and I decided to take on the snowy weekend anyways. A winter storm was approaching on Thursday but we packed up and decided we were going no matter what. Thursday night came and it was nothing but sleet. We went to bed and Friday morning it was like a dream come true. We had so much freaking snow! Nimisila Reservoir is located in Green Ohio just south of the Portage lakes. Thank you to Summit Metro Parks....In the middle of this snow storm they had the roads into camp and our sites plowed. They also shoveled the walkway to the bathroom. There are six electric sites and 23 sites non-electric sites. The campground has very large pine trees and spacious wooded sites, a boat ramp, kayak launch and hiking trails. *Sled riding behind a truck is not recommended. Do not try this at home.
