Brigham Young University (BYU) in Provo, Utah, welcomes thousands of high school students to the campus during the Summer months for various youth programs. Students attend from across the United States.
One such program is for students who are interested in singing and drama. The Broadway Bootcamp for 2023 was very successful.
The students learned about full-scale theatre while rehearsing for a musical performance which was presented at the end of the two week session.
Les Miserables (School Edition) was performed by the student actors and singers at the Orem High School auditorium. The student performers did an excellent job with the Broadway musical.
The Broadway Bootcamp was for beginning, intermediate, and seasoned high school drama students. They participated in masterclasses, specialty workshops, and rehearsals throughout the session.
They were given the opportunity to perform in a Broadway musical, to enjoy the great atmosphere of being on the BYU campus, and to make new friends among others with similar dreams, goals, and standards.
The intense two week program is taught by talented instructors and professionals in theatre.
BYU offers many youth programs for high school students during the Summer. Anyone interested may check out the lineup for the coming year.
