Desert Star Playhouse is located in Murray, Utah. It has been in operation for thirty years providing fun entertainment for all ages.
They have been playing Back From The Future since March. It will be ending on June 3, 2023. The show is a parody from the movie Back To The Future. The story and names have been changed somewhat.
The story is about an average teen by the name of Marvin McFlea. He travels back in time to the year of 1985 to make his parents rich and famous. He does some meddling which upsets the space and time continuum.
He has the help of Doc Emma Braun as he battles an evil tetherball coach by the name of Coach Strictman and Buff Tanman, who is his father's nemesis. The show is touted as 88 Miles of Laughter.
Original musical comedies are performed here nightly. The talented cast members have a great time performing and poking fun at current news events, movies and popular culture. Titles range from "Honey, I Shrunk the Titanic" to "Hex Files." Patrons sit at tables in tiered seating and are served by roaming waiters. Although not a full restaurant, pizza can be delivered to your table. Be sure to stay after the performance for the "Olio", a musical performance of sheer fun. [from the website]
Desert Star Playhouse is open Mondays through Saturdays from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM. They are closed on Sundays.
