Most people seem to do drive thru
Although it is a Mexican fast food restaurant which may generally do mostly drive thru take-out service, Taco Time has a nice restaurant facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. It is located on a corner at 810 South State Street.
Taco Time was originally founded in Eugene, Oregon, by Ron Fraedrick (born in 1928 and died in 2015). He was born and raised in Eugene. He opened the first restaurant near his alma mater of the University of Oregon in January of 1960.
The first Taco Time franchise was opened in 1962 in White Center, Washington. They expanded and open franchises in seven Western states in the 1970s. The company franchised its first international restaurant in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, in 1978. They now have over 200 locations in the USA with over 70 in Canada. There are also some other international locations.
The company was bought in 2003 by Kahala Brands of Scottsdale, Arizona.
They still have franchising opportunities for entrepreneurs. The Taco Time franchise fee for new owners is $30,000, and it is estimated to cost upwards of $300,000 to start a restaurant.
The menu items at Taco Time are the regular fast food Mexican dishes such as different Burritos and Tacos, Nachos, Salads, and Sides. They also serve breakfast.
The Taco Time Restaurant in downtown Salt Lake City is joined by several others in Salt Lake County, Davis County, Utah County, and other parts of Utah. It is a fast food restaurant which has indoor dining.
