The owner of the O-KU Sushi and Poke Restaurant had been a sushi chef for ten years when the COVID pandemic caused him to lose his position. He loves creating sushi and wanted to help create job opportunities for others who were adversely affected by the pandemic so he opened O-KU Sushi and Poke in October of 2020.

He worked hard each day until midnight at the new restaurant. He prepared all the ingredients himself. He made sure to use the freshest and best ingredients he could find. He continues to work very hard although he has more staff now to help him.

O-KU Sushi and Poke is open on Mondays through Thursdays from 11:00 AM until 9:30 PM. They are open on Fridays and Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Their Sunday hours are 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

They offer a Happy Hour from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM when customers may order two Sushi Rolls with Miso Soup and a House Salad for $12.99.

In addition to the regular human staff, there is a robot server named Alyssa who works at the restaurant. Kids especially love seeing the robot and having her serve their food.
