Chris Sorensen and Robin Sorensen were from a family that is entrepreneurial. The family also has served for decades in Fire and Police departments. Chris and Robin started Firehouse Subs. They had tried other ventures along the way including rock 'n' roll, real estate, and Christmas tree farming. These experiences led them on their path to opening the first Firehouse Subs named in honor of Fire Fighters and Public Service Workers.
The menu at Firehouse Subs includes Hot Specialty Submarine Sandwiches, Build Your Own Sandwiches, and Salads.
Firehouse Subs believes in giving back to the community by supporting the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation. A portion of the purchases at all Firehouse Subs locations in the United States will be used to provide lifesaving equipment to first responders.
The Foundation has granted over $73 million since its inception to provide equipment, training, and support to hometown heroes working at Firehouses to keep the public safe.
Firehouse Subs believes that they should DO GOOD as well as making great subs. Buying a Sub or other food at a location of Firehouse Subs will be helping the community as well as providing good food.
