Zaxby's is an American restaurant chain which operates primarily in the Southern part of the United States, but they have restaurants in Utah as well. They have over 900 locations with most being owned by franchisees and 123 owned by the Company.

Zach McLeroy and Tony Townley were childhood friends who established the first Zaxby's in Statesboro, Georgia, near the campus of Georgia Southern University in March 1990.
Their first restaurant outside of Georgia was in Bowling Green, Kentucky, and opened in September 1994. They opened locations in Utah in 2013, which was the first expansion outside of the southeastern part of the United States.

The COVID-19 pandemic caused Zaxby's to shut down their dine-in facilities indefinitely. Some locations reopened by mid-May of 2020.

Zaxby's had a new CEO in 2022 who was the first CEO that was not one of the founders. McLeroy was the outgoing CEO and stayed on as Chairman.

The fast casual dining restaurants offer freshly prepared chicken fingers, chicken wings, sandwiches, salads, and appetizers. They have dipping sauces which range from mild to the moderate "Zax sauce" to the very hot "Nuclear."

Their dining rooms are decorated with whimsical objects and signs which may vary by location and region. The locations in college towns often feature decorations related to the university which is in the area. They also use Coca-Cola branding after forming a partnership with them.

There are several locations of Zaxby's in Salt Lake County. They include Midvale, Sandy, Taylorsville, and West Valley. There are also other locations in Utah.
