Dining out is a popular activity for many people throughout the world. There are restaurants of all varieties and price ranges. People may be looking for a place to take the family where children would be welcome and where there would be a kids' menu. Applebee's is such a restaurant which serves regular American food.
Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar is a restaurant chain which offers casual dining.

The Applebee's restaurant was started in 1980 by Bill and T.J. Palmer. They wanted to have a restaurant with a neighborhood pub feel where people could get quality food and friendly service for a lower price than much of the competition. The first location was in Atlanta, Georgia. Then they opened another restaurant also in Atlanta.

The company started with different names but changed to Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar in 1988. Bill Palmer was the president of the Applebee's division of the larger company which had formed.

They were acquired by IHOP in 2007. They then shifted towards a franchise model for most of the Applebee locations. The Applebee's division now has over 1,500 locations, some of which are company owned.

There are nine Applebee locations in Utah. Their restaurants are located in: Cedar City, Layton, Orem, Riverdale, St. George, Taylorsville, Tooele, West Jordan, and West Valley City.

Applebee's offers a wide variety of different foods items. Their menu consists of: Appetizers, Steaks and Ribs, Chicken, Seafood, Pasta, Salads, Burgers, Sandwiches, and Desserts. They have Kids' Meals. They do catering and take online orders as well as have gift cards available.
