It is a beautiful show
Dancers with Ballet West put on an excellent performance of Romeo and Juliet in Salt Lake City during several days in February 2022. The final show is on Saturday evening, February 19, at the Capitol Theatre.
Although the story of Romeo and Juliet is rather sad, the ballet was beautiful with the dancers doing a wonderful job as they delighted the audiences.
The Ballet West Artistic Director is Adam Sklute, The William Christensen Artistic Director Chair sponsored by Peggy Bergmann. Michael Scolamiero is Executive Director, The Elizabeth Soloon Executive Director Chair.
Principals were Emily Adams, Katlyn Addison, Hadriel Diniz, Adrian Fry, Jenna Rae Herrera, Chase O'Connell, Beckanne Sisk, and Rex Tilton. First soloists were Allison DeBona and Tyler Gum. Soloists were Chelsea Keefer, Amy Potter, and Jordan Veit. Demi-soloist was Joshua Whitehead.
Artists were Dominic Ballard, Jazz Khai Bynum, Lillian Casscells, Beau Chesivoir, Isabella Corridon Ameria Dencker, Nicole Fanney, Robert Fowler, Olia Gusti, Connor Hammond, David Huffmire, Noel Jensen, Vinicius Lima, Joseph Lynch, Amber Miller, Kazlyn Nielsen, Jake Preece, Joshua Skutkind, Anisa Sinteral Victoria Vassos, Kristina Weimer, Claire Wilson, Severina Wong.
Ballet West II members were Alladson Barreto, Mackenzie Bartlett, Stella Birkinshaw, Kye Cooley, Anderson Duhan, Maren Florence, Jacob Hancock, Elijah Hartley, William Lynch, Jonas Malinka-Thompson, Rylee Rogers, Gabriella Schultze, Kennedy Sheriff, Tatiana Stevenson, Rebecca Trockel, Loren Walton.
Rachel Viselli, Jeff Rogers, and Christopher Sellars were guest artists. Michael Smuin was the choreographer. Sergei Prokofiev was the composter. David Heuvel did the costume design. Jim French did the lighting design.
The Capitol Theatre in downtown Salt Lake City is a wonderful venue where many types of entertainment are featured. Ballet West is one of the popular groups which performs there.
