He is a musician who will perform in Salt Lake City
Current Joys will perform in Salt Lake City at the Complex, 536 West 100 South, on Thursday, February 17, 2022. The show is at 7:00 pm.
Nicholas Foster Rattigan is the lead vocalist for Current Joys. He was born in Henderson, Nevada, on August 6, 1992. He moved to Reno for education and then moved to Brooklyn, New York, to further his musical career. He now makes his home in both Los Angeles, California, and Dallas, Texas.
Rattigan said that he took drum lessons when he was eight, and he taught himself to play the guitar mainly through online training using guitar tabs. He said that he suffers from a form of generalized anxiety disorder. It does not seem to stop him with performing.
Rattigan now uses the name of Current Joys for his music. He is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, journalist, and music video director. He has released four albums which show how his music has changed over time.
At first when he was starting to write and release music individually, he did so as The Nicholas Project. An anonymous message on Myspace was his inspiration to begin composing music. He released a number of recordings independently from November 2011 to October 2012. He was an intern who wrote for Impose from September to October 2014.
He has used other names before settling on Current Joys. He says it reflects his music more at the current time. He has produced and directed music videos.
He is touring through several cities, including Salt Lake City.
