Talented students will perform
Hundreds of college students are enrolled in the various dance programs at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. These talented young people regularly put on shows during the school year. There is a wide variety of dance types including ballet, ballroom, contemporary, and cultural dances. Some of the special groups are various ballet groups such as Theatre Ballet and Ballet Showcase as well as International Folk Dance Ensemble, Living Legends which are Native American dancers, Ballroom Dance Ensemble, and Young Ambassadors.
BYU Theatre Ballet will be performing at a dance concert on the BYU campus in Provo with performances on February 10, 11, and 12, 2022, at 7:30 pm. There will be a Saturday matinee at 2:00 pm on February 12.
Shayla Bott and Ashley Parov are the artistic directors with Hilary Wolfle as the assistant artistic director; The BYU Theatre Ballet will be performing an evening of audience favorites, beginning with the ever-popular Serenade by George Balanchine and finishing with the virtuosic Act 2 of Paquita. Gerald Arpino's Confetti is sure to please with a high-energy pas de six made for three couples.
The show will have variety with something for everyone.
Performances will be held at the DeJong Concert Hall in the Harris Fine Arts Building.
