High in the hills above Salt Lake City is a home on 18th Avenue which features an outstanding display of holiday decorations. The home has been named "Frosty's Winter Wonderland" for the Christmas season.

The homeowner is Forrest Nunley. He started with a yard display of Christmas decorations three decades ago. Every year he adds to the array of colorful decorations. He starts in October to get his decorations ready for the Christmas season.

Last year we saw a story about Nunley's house on KSLTV News. Andrew Adams had done the story about the magnificently decorated house in the Avenues.

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – It began nearly three decades ago as a humble yard display of more than a dozen blow molds Christmas decorations. The homeowner was interviewed for the story.
“We had no idea when we started this 28 years ago that it would be this big,” said homeowner Forrest Nunley.
The work typically begins around Oct. 1 to be ready in time for the holiday season.
“It takes me about 700 hours to get it all up and running,” Nunley acknowledged.
Collecting for the display takes place year-round, with Nunley adding about 20 new blow molds every Christmas season.
“The big goal is to find ones that I don’t have,” said Nunley, whose decorations date as far back as the 1950s.

Last year being what is referred to as "The Pandemic Year," the display was even more popular than previously. Frosty's Winter Wonderland averaged about 200 cars per night last year whereas it is normally around 100 cars per year. There is also foot traffic of people coming to see the lights and decorations.

Nunley has been happy to add to the enjoyment of people being able to get outside during the holiday season to enjoy the decorations.

Seeing the lights during the holiday season is a safe and fun activity for everyone. There are many places to see the beautiful holiday decorations in the Salt Lake City Valley during this Christmas time. Frosty's Winter Wonderland brings happiness to many people. It is well worth a visit.
