Megan and Harry were almost killed by the paparazzi, in a car chase in New York

According to CNN and other sources, the Sussexes were pursued by photographers after leaving the Women of Vision Awards at the city’s Ziegfeld Ballroom in a convoy that also included Doria Ragland, Meghan’s mother. (source: CNN.

According to the couple's security services, there was a "movie-like" chase on the streets of New York, on Tuesday night, that could have been catastrophic for everyone.

This reminds us, of course, of the famous paparazzi chase that killed Princess Diana.

Is Prince Harry cursed to have the same fate as his amazing, unhappy mother? The question was probably on everyone's lips, as we were reading or listening to the news, thinking that Prince Harry and his wife Megan could have been dead by now, involved in a car accident that could have repeated history.

Police said “numerous” photographers made the Sussexes’ transport “challenging,” but that there were no reported collisions, injuries, or arrests. (source: CNN.

Witnesses say that after the Women of Vision gala, the paparazzi started a "Megan and Harry chase", some by car, some using their scooters, a chase that reminded of the other famous chase in Paris in 1997, causing Princess Diana's death.

"While they were leaving, the way they started to follow the car reminded me of all the other scenes in the past, that involved Prince Harry's mother. It was truly annoying. If it was triggering for me, I can't even imagine how it must have felt for them, to experience something like that. They did say to Megan, for example: How do you feel about being the reason that Prince Harry is no longer with his family?" (source: PRO TV news, quoting Zara Sayeed, a witness)
