The Grammys 2021 and Los Angeles Convention Center: Women Made History

The 63rd Annual Grammy Awards were held on March 14, 2021, in and around the Los Angeles Convention Center.

It is considered one of the four major annual American entertainment awards, along with the Academy Awards (film), the Emmy Awards (television), and the Tony Awards (theater and Broadway). (source: Wikipedia)

The 2021 Grammy Awards have been officially moved from January 31st to March 14th.

Since their first time in 1959, it is the first time it is held in quarantine.

It was a hard competition for artists performing in an industry that was hit hard by the pandemic.

Also, the Grammys were accused in time for not being fair to artists, favoring some, and not getting others the chance to win, like for example women.

This year though, there were winning

The best music night happened at the Los Angeles Convention Center, in an outdoor area, and with the Staples Center, the traditional venue for the show, as a backdrop.

There was no audience, a small number of media, and a live red carpet broadcast with artists and presenters. Most members of the media have already registered for virtual screenings.

Beyoncé made a record-breaking victory after winning her 28th Grammy for Best R&B Performance for "Black Parade. She is the artist who won the most Grammy prizes in history.

Her daughter, Blue Ivy, also won a Grammy.

Taylor Swift won Album of the Year for "Folklore," while Billie Eilish - Record of the Year for "Everything I Wanted."

Taylor Swift also made history at Sunday's ceremony, by becoming the first female artist ever to win album of the year three times.

Only three other artists have ever won the album of the year recognition three times: Frank Sinatra, Paul Simon, and Stevie Wonder.

The lovely Dua Lipa won a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album.

The Best Rock Performance category was all women or female-led groups this year: winner Fiona Apple alongside Big Thief, Phoebe Bridgers, HAIM, Brittany Howard, and Grace Potter.

Best New Artist instead went to Megan Thee Stallion, who also won two of the other three Gramys for which she got nominated: Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song for “Savage.”

The 27-year-old singer Harry Styles won Best Pop Solo Performance for his song 'Watermelon Sugar,' which he performed live earlier in the broadcast. It was Harry's first GRAMMY win.

Some of the most interesting performances of the night were from Bruno Mars and Dua Lipa.

Bruno Mars feat. Anderson Paak gave such an amazing soul-funk performance that probably left many people speechless. Their vocals, their perfect techniques and interpretations, the song "Leave the Door Open" were absolutely mesmerising.

It was like hearing music for the first and only time, in the entire show.

Bruno Mars with Silk Sonic are going to the next level, creating quality music coming from the soul, with deep feeling interpretation and message. This is America's and World's great music, that aspires to last forever. Great job!

Dua Lipa, probably one of the most popular female singer artists today, who also showed dancing skills and an amazing body, along with her beautiful strong voice while singing "Levitating" feat. Da Baby, dressed all in lilla, and taking off almost all of her clothes showing amazing body while singing "Don't Start Now".

The general impression of her performance was an Eighties era, with vintage dressing that rose a lot of nostalgy for those beautiful times and especially their music.

Cardi B. also gave a typical performance of her familiar music and performance style, that made her the only female rapper with multiple billion-streamers on Spotify.

Other interesting performances at the Grammy's Night were given by the winning artist Billie Eilish, Post Malone, Taylor Swift, Megan Thee Stallion, Bruno Mars,
