When Will The Kardashians Learn They Aren't Exempt From CDC Covid Guidelines?

  • The Kardashian family is being criticized for neglecting CDC Covid guides during their Thanksgiving gathering.
  • Despite watching how sick Khloe Kardashian was back in March, they have disregarded safety recommendations over and over throughout the pandemic.
  • Recent social media posts made by the Kardashians have been tone-deaf and out of touch, but likely won't stop.

The Kardashian family has yet to accept the severity of the current global pandemic, going about their lives as if it were 2015. Despite their claims that they've been taking certain safety precautions, their posts on social media show how completely tone-deaf they are. But are we really that surprised?

Most recently, the Kardashian crew gathered for Thanksgiving, and photos from the event indicate that CDC Covid guidelines were entirely ignored. This is hardly the first time they've put their careless actions on display though. From unnecessary traveling to throwing massive parties, it begs the question: When will the Kardashians learn they aren't exempt from CDC Covid guidelines?

A Kardashian Thanksgiving

Prior to Thanksgiving, the CDC released Covid guidelines in the state of California that prohibit indoor events and the gathering of people from more than three households. They also suggest that all attendees maintain social distancing rules and wear a face mask when not eating or drinking. According to the photos they've shared publically, the Kardashians didn't obey any of these guidelines.

Not only did they spend the day inside (despite it being 70 degrees and sunny), but it looks like their table is set for at least 14 people. According to Buzzfeed, Instagram stories showed that Kris, Kendall, Kylie, Kourtney, Khloé, and all of their children were definitely at this dinner, totaling five households. But that wasn't the only faux pas.

The Kardashian Thanksgiving affair also had at least three servers in attendance. Apparently, it's too difficult for them to scoop their own food out of a tray and onto a plate. Their decisions aren't only forcing their staff to miss out on Thanksgiving at home, but they're also putting their lives at risk.

These servers are certainly not to blame though. When you have that kind of cash being thrown at your feet, it's pretty hard to turn down a gig like this. Their presence was entirely unnecessary, but at least they were wearing face masks (unlike the Kardashians).

Thanksgiving is hardly the first time the Kardashians have selfishly ignored CDC Covid guidelines to pursue their own interests though.

Kim Kardashian's Birthday Getaway

Kim Kardashian West turned 40 years old in October, and instead of postponing celebrations like most of the world, she chose to fly her friends and family to an undisclosed private island. While Khloe Kardashian claimed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that just 20 people were in attendance, reports have disputed this number insisting more than 40 people went on the trip.

All who attended supposedly quarantined for two weeks and tested negative before the getaway, however, those who are this out of touch with reality are rarely honest. Khloe made a point to stand up for Kim during her television appearance, making a statement that proved just how oblivious the Kardashians are.

"I haven't heard a lot about it, but I did hear that people were upset that we all went out of town. I don't really know the extent of it. But this year is a frustrating year. I get it. I think there's so many frustrations going on for everybody. But also it's her 40th. This is something that she wanted to do for us. It was such a nice thing."

Of course, people weren't just upset about the Kardashian's complete disregard for the CDC's Covid guidelines. They were also angered by how little respect they had for the health and safety of all of the staff needed to make their vacation enjoyable. In response to this, Khloe (who suffered from the Coronavirus back in March) actually had the nerve to say this:

"Being there with all the precautions that we took and being there and how grateful everyone was for the tourism aspect of it. So many people said that we were their first party of guests that they've had in months and what it's done for them to be able to pay their bills or to be able to do stuff for their family, just hearing those messages when we were there, we felt really good and we felt so safe. We did it in the safest way I could imagine someone doing it."

The safest way you could imagine someone doing it would be to stay at home.

Kendall Jenner's Birthday Bash

In celebration of Kendall Jenner's 25th birthday, she threw a Halloween party in which over 100 guests attended. Celebrities who appeared included Justin Bieber, Saweetie, Doja Cat, The Weeknd, Winnie Harlow, and Jaden Smith. Despite requesting that guests not post any photos to social media (likely to hide their disrespect for the pandemic), photos wound up being leaked by her own sister, Kylie Jenner.

Allegedly, guests were required to partake in rapid testing (also known as Antigen testing) before allowed inside. However, we all know that this form of testing is highly inaccurate and has only been approved for use in emergencies. Studies have found that rapid testing yields false-negative results at rates as high as 50 percent.

The Kardashians Are A Poor Example

Throughout this global health crisis, some people have chosen a stance in which they feel everyone should mind their business rather than criticize how others are handling the pandemic. Usually, this is a respectable position. However, when the public's health is at risk, it becomes everyone's business when CDC Covid guidelines are being ignored.

As significant public figures with millions of fans and followers on social media, when the Kardashians post these types of photos it sends the wrong message to the public. They show careless and reckless behavior that many people are likely to imitate. Whether they like it or not, they are role models.

The wealthy and privileged may not have to worry about dying from Covid because they can afford the best healthcare out there, but showing off their privilege over and over in photos is just selfish and narrow-minded. And they don't plan to reign it in anytime soon. Khloe has already confirmed they will be hosting their annual Christmas Eve bash despite the fact that CDC guidelines haven't changed.

The Kardashian family needs to do better!
