The stubborn mule currently residing in the White House hasn't necessarily conceded yet, but he has come about as close as he ever will. Despite President-elect Joe Biden winning the election by a landslide, Donald Trump has refused to give up his barely worn-in chair in the Oval Office. However, according to a recent tweet, he has finally initiated transition protocols that will give Biden and his team all the info they need before he is sworn into office.
In addition to the majority of the country, many celebrities have also been looking forward to this historic moment and have expressed their joy in some of the most hilarious ways. Scroll for a look at the most savage reactions to Trump's tweet!
The Tweet We've All Been Waiting For
President Donald Trump finally tweeted the message we've all been waiting for, or at least something close, on Monday afternoon. He starts his message off by thanking Emily Murphy for dealing with the backlash caused by none other than his own selfish behavior. As the Administrator of the General Services Administration, Murphy is responsible for leading the transition and has been under fire these last few weeks for failing to do her job.

While it seems she has finally gotten things moving, leave it to Trump to take credit for her efforts. You can read what he wrote for yourself here:
"I want to thank Emily Murphy at GSA for her steadfast dedication and loyalty to our Country. She has been harassed, threatened, and abused – and I do not want to see this happen to her, her family, or employees of GSA. Our case STRONGLY continues, we will keep up the good...
...fight, and I believe we will prevail! Nevertheless, in the best interest of our Country, I am recommending that Emily and her team do what needs to be done with regard to initial protocols, and have told my team to do the same."
According to the letter addressed to Biden, Murphy made it rather clear that she made this decision entirely on her own and wasn't pressured to delay the proceedings from anyone within the White House. She wrote:
"Please know that I came to my decision independently, based on the law and available facts. I was never directly or indirectly pressured by any Executive Branch official—including those who work at the White House or GSA—with regard to the substance or timing of my decision. To be clear, I did not receive any direction to delay my determination."
You can read the full letter here:
Murphy's letter contradicts Trump, however. It's clear by the words in Trump's tweet that he has full control over Murphy's actions, or at the very least thinks he does. So, someone isn't being honest about what's going on behind the scenes.
Savage Celebrity Reactions
As you may have expected, the internet rejoiced upon reading that the Biden administration will finally begin the transition process. Those on the left side of the political spectrum are likely relieved as well that Trump now has one foot out the door.
These are the most savage celebrity reactions to Trump's tweet:
Actor Michael Rapaport is best known for his roles in Atypical and Prison Break, but if you follow him on Twitter then you know he's hardly a fan of the current president. Here is just one of a slew of tweets he made after the news came that transition proceedings were getting started:
Other tweets Rapaport has made tell Trump to pack his bags, call him a selfish pig, and accuse him of running out of money. Best of all is this borderline psychotic rant he has blessed the world with:
Harry Potter actor Matthew Lewis became accustomed to standing up to corrupt leaders while portraying Neville Longbottom in the wizarding world. Despite being from the UK, he still weighed in on Trump's tweet with a heartfelt goodbye.
You know you were a bad president when people from other countries are rooting to get you out of office!
Holly Marie Combs Ryan
Her name may be a tongue twister, but you likely know actress Holly Marie Combs Ryan better by the name Piper Halliwell. In addition to starring on Charmed, she has also appeared in the shows Picket Fences and Pretty Little Liars. While she rarely comments on politics, it seems her former co-star Alyssa Milano has inspired her!
Not only is she talented but she's funny too!
Stephen King doesn't just write great books. He also writes great tweets. If he didn't hate Trump so much, the president could pick up some great tips on the proper way to use Twitter just by scrolling through King's page.
While this particular tweet isn't exactly worthy of The Pulitzer Prize, it's still savage AF.
Star Trek actor George Takei has become a pop-culture guru in recent years and rejecting Trump has been a significant part of his role in activism. Like most of the world, Takei acknowledges Trump's tweet as the closest we'll get to him conceding.
And while this may not seem savage in comparison to some of these other celebrity reactions, these are some pretty harsh words coming from Takei!
Actor Mark Hamill has defeated Darth Vader and the Empire before, so it's no surprise that he has been long awaiting Trump's concession speech. As his tweet mentions, we'll probably never get one though!
The best part about Hamill's tweet is his use of the savage hashtag, #BuhBye_Don!
The one and only Bette Midler is known for her savagery when it comes to Trump's childish behavior, so it's no surprise that she took this opportunity to get in another jab. The actress' sarcasm is on a whole other level in this tweet:
Is anyone else reading this in the voice of Winifred Sanderson?
Hollywood legend Rob Reiner certainly knows how to make a dig on Twitter. The best part about his tweet is that it's not just savage but true.
Reiner's Twitter account offers a voice of reason among the slew of crazies, a diamond in the rough on Twitter!
Kathy Griffin's feud with Trump nearly destroyed her career after she received heavy backlash for posing with a replica of Trump's severed head. This never deterred her from speaking her mind though, as you can see from her recent tweet:
While the answer to her question may be no, hopefully, that change in a few short months!
Since Donald Trump will likely never make a concession speech, this tweet will just have to do!
