A New Hampshire witness at Somersworth reported and photographed a bright, disc-shaped object at 3:03 a.m. on December 15, 2022, according to testimony from the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC).

The witness is reporting that unusual lights appear each evening near 2 a.m. that look like drones but are larger.

“Some have an orange-type light at the bottom,” the reporting witness stated. “Some have bright white at the bottom.”

For this report date, the witness said that the object with the orange on the bottom moved toward him.

“It has some type of arms in the front of it and they kept opening and closing as it was coming towards me.”

The witness became frightened and ran into the house.

An investigator would be comparing the photos with known types of drones looking for a match. Two images were included in the report, filed on December 15, 2022, and released for public viewing on December 22, 2022. Somersworth is a city in Strafford County, NH, population 11,855. A New Hampshire witness at Laconia recalled an encounter with a cylinder-shaped object that hovered over a local cove for more than five hours at noon on June 1, 1965, according to testimony from the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC).

The reporting witness was about 10 years years old on the sighting day. The date is approximate.

The witness’s father was retired from the Navy and Coast Guard and heard a report on local radio station WLNH that there was a strange event occurring over a local cove. The area was about 20 minutes away from the center of town. Dad grabbed his camera and the two were off to see what was happening.

The two were only able to get within a half-mile of the object where they could see a bright orange light over the area through the woods. There was already a crowd, with many vehicles lining the road, which was blocked by police cars, inhibiting further encroachment by civilians.

“My Dad walked to a group to talk as we stared at the odd glow that seemed to sink into the surroundings,” the reporting witness stated. “The people my Dad spoke to told him we were not allowed to go any closer as the police had made statements concerning possible radiation.”

A local doctor known to the family told them he had seen the object.

The doctor said that the object was "floating down from the night sky, before it took up station hovering just over the water, occasionally emitting an odd green glow from the bottom part, that was nearest the water."

Father and son stayed for hours staring at the glow until the police and fire responders told everyone to leave as there were concerns for safety.

No newspaper articles about the incident ever appeared in the local papers.

“People talked about it for ages but no information could ever be gleaned.”

The report includes no images, filed on January 26, 2007. Laconia is a city in Belknap County, NH, population 16,871. Witness quotes were edited for clarity.
