A California witness on a cruise ship approaching Long Beach, CA, reported watching two glowing orbs close by and a third, underwater object at about 4:05 a.m. on February 25, 2022, according to testimony from the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC).
The witness was on the cruise ship Carnival Panorama, returning to Long Beach from the Mexican Rivera. They were approximately three hours from docking. The witness got out of bed a few minutes after 4 a.m. in a balcony cabin on the eighth floor.
But before getting back in bed, the witness looked out a cabin window to see if any city lights were showing yet. But instead, the witness saw two glowing orbs hovering near each other and close to their cabin level.
The witness opened balcony doors to get a better view and watched the lights move towards the front of the ship. They appeared to be less than a hundred yards from the ship. The witness then called out to his wife to come and look as well.
Both observed the objects from the balcony.
“They appeared to rise a little and passed almost level with the bridge of the ship," the reporting witness stated. "The orb on the right moved hard right in a maneuver that was almost a 90-degree turn at high speed and then stopped and came back over the top of the other orb and then came back underneath and resumed station on the other.”
The objects then began to move away.
Both objects began climbing in altitude and seemed to merge and then at a very high rate of speed vanished. The witness estimates their size as between 5 and 10 feet in diameter.
Third Object Appears
But just when the two thought the incident was over, they noticed a glow under the water approaching from behind the ship at a high rate of speed.
The glowing object came up to about mid-ship and stayed there for a few seconds and was clearly visible as a glowing orb under the sea. It then turned east for a while and then came back toward the ship, stopped, circled around, and then departed at a high rate of speed back the direction it came from.
The witness, who is also a pilot, said it was hard to estimate the size of this object as the depth it was at couldn't be estimated.
The witness additionally added that the light of the orbs seemed to be kind of a haze or moving, kind of like translucent. The witness also reported that there was no sound.
Witness quotes were edited for clarity. Please report UFO activity to NUFORC or to the Mutual UFO Network MUFON.
