A Sneak Peek of Texas' Next Amazing State Park

We were given the opportunity by the Texas State Parks to visit Texas' next state park a year before it is scheduled to open. This is an inside look at some of the progress on Palo Pinto Mountains State Park and the press event sponsored by H.E.B. It's been 25 years since Texas opened a state park, and it looks like it is going to be a great one! Due to heavy rain the night before, only the planned equestrian campground, the north side of Tucker Lake, and the future park headquarters were open for tour access. Stay tuned for more news on this great park. We are a family of hikers based in Dallas that love to travel frequently in our RV. We are on the road as often as possible and enjoy discovering alpine lakes, slot canyons, natural arches, and other interesting landforms all over the U.S. and sharing our adventures with everyone. When we explore our state of Texas, we always try discovering new local places the whole family will enjoy. If you like hiking, camping, and photography related content, please follow us!
