We Hiked to the Mexican Border, and This is What We Saw!

This 8 mile long hike in Seminole Canyon State Park is an absolutely amazing hike you need to try! The trail follows Seminole Creek to the the Rio Grande at the Mexican border where Texas ends. Stop for a little rest and snack at the overlook to Panther Cave. When ready, you can take the easy way back to the trailhead on the Rio Grande Trail which is essentially a dirt road. We are a family of hikers based in Dallas that love to travel frequently in our RV. We are on the road as often as possible and enjoy discovering alpine lakes, slot canyons, natural arches, and other interesting landforms all over the U.S. and sharing our adventures with everyone. When we explore our state of Texas, we always try discovering new local places the whole family will enjoy. If you like hiking, camping, and photography related content, please follow us!
