The fire is out, but what about the burn bans?

In Southwest Oklahoma, there are currently several counties with active burn bans due to dry conditions. Check your with your local government agencies for more information. When we visited Great Plains State Park last weekend, the park was under a burn ban for campfires. Also, in the Wichita Mountains National Wildlife Refuge, there was a controlled burn which was successful. We are a family of hikers based in Dallas that love to travel frequently in our RV. We are on the road as often as possible and enjoy discovering alpine lakes, slot canyons, natural arches, and other interesting landforms all over the U.S. and sharing our adventures with everyone. When we explore our state of Texas, we always try discovering new local places the whole family will enjoy. If you like hiking, camping, and photography related content, please follow us!
