Find Ancient Sea Fossils and Fantastic Views at This Park
Out in Copper Breaks State Park is a great little hike to Juniper Ridge. It has a neat shaded bench overlooking the lake and some petrified Permian sea ripples along the trail to discover. The hike is about a half a mile with only 60 feet of elevation gain making it perfect for families. Be sure to stay late into the night in this park since it is also a dark sky park and perfect for astronomy and stargazing. We are a family of hikers based in Dallas that love to travel frequently in our RV. We are on the road as often as possible and enjoy discovering alpine lakes, slot canyons, natural arches, and other interesting landforms all over the U.S. and sharing our adventures with everyone. When we explore our state of Texas, we always try discovering new local places the whole family will enjoy. If you like hiking, camping, and photography related content, please follow us!
