What's Inside One of the Longest Caves in the World?

In South Dakota, Jewel Cave National Monument is a great cave to explore with tons of interesting formations and mineral deposits. The cave system is over 208 miles and is currently the third longest cave system in the world. Bring a jacket since this cave is a cool 49 degrees Fahrenheit year round. We are a family of hikers based in Dallas that love to travel frequently in our RV. We are on the road as often as possible and enjoy discovering alpine lakes, slot canyons, natural arches, and other interesting landforms all over the U.S. and sharing our adventures with everyone. When we explore our state of Texas, we always try discovering new local places the whole family will enjoy. If you like hiking, camping, and photography related content, please follow us!
