The Famous Begging Burros Used Our Truck as a Scratching Post
In Custer State Park, are the famous "Begging Burros". These semi-feral animals are always looking for food along the road in this awesome South Dakota state park. They are originally pack animals descending from burros of the 1930s that used to carry supplies and people up the trail to Harney Peak. To find them, just drive along the Wildlife Loop Road, and your bound to see them. Please follow our Newsbreak account Roadtrippin' with Takacs for more hiking, camping, and travel content. We are a family of hikers based in Dallas that love to travel frequently in our RV. We are on the road as often as possible and enjoy discovering alpine lakes, slot canyons, natural arches, and other interesting landforms all over the U.S. and sharing our adventures with everyone. When we explore our state of Texas, we always try discovering new local places the whole family will enjoy. If you like hiking, camping, and photography related content, please follow us!
