Nevadans, This Awesome Alpine Lake is Waiting for You

Located in Great Basin National Park are a couple of beautiful alpine lakes on a loop. Stella Lake is one of the two lakes you can visit along the loop, and is arguably the prettier of the two if you are pressed for time. There is a bench you can stop at end enjoy the scenery of this quiet national park's lake as you enjoy the morning songbirds. It's a 2.1 mile hike with a little over 400 feet of elevation gain, so it is a great family hike! We are a family of hikers based in Dallas that love to travel frequently in our RV. We are on the road as often as possible and enjoy discovering alpine lakes, slot canyons, natural arches, and other interesting landforms all over the U.S. and sharing our adventures with everyone. When we explore our state of Texas, we always try discovering new local places the whole family will enjoy. If you like hiking, camping, and photography related content, please follow us!
