Once in a Lifetime "Christmas Comet" Leonard | Phone Astrophotography

We spent two nights shooting astrophotography at Great Plains State Park, Oklahoma attempting to get a good image of Comet Leonard. The night was cold, but we managed to get one reasonable image. We also played around with phone astrophotography while at the park. The results were great for a smartphone! Next week we will head to Copper Breaks State Park, Texas to try to get an even better image of the comet. We are a family of hikers based in Dallas that love to travel frequently in our RV. We are on the road as often as possible and enjoy discovering alpine lakes, slot canyons, natural arches, and other interesting landforms all over the U.S. and sharing our adventures with everyone. When we explore our state of Texas, we always try discovering new local places the whole family will enjoy. If you like hiking, camping, and photography related content, please follow us!
