A Beautiful Trail to Ruins in Canyon of the Ancients | Sand Canyon Trail
If you are an avid eater of flies, check this hike out! Sand Canyon Trail in Canyon of the Ancients National Monument is a beautiful hike that has lots of amazing ruins along the trail for you to discover. We were only able to make it to the first of many ruins due to our distaste for the flavor of flies. The total length of the trail is about 12 miles with around 2,000 feet of elevation gain, and hopefully we will be able to return here one day with a flyswatter to complete the entire trail. We are a family of hikers based in Dallas that love to travel frequently in our RV. We are on the road as often as possible and enjoy discovering alpine lakes, slot canyons, natural arches, and other interesting landforms all over the U.S. and sharing our adventures with everyone. When we explore our state of Texas, we always try discovering new local places the whole family will enjoy. If you like hiking, camping, and photography related content, please follow us!
