Heavenly Fall Foliage at the Polar Express Campground | Texas State Railroad

The perfect place to camp or spend the day near the awesome East Texas Polar Express experience is just 30 minutes away from it. Located in the piney woods of Rusk and owned by Texas State Railroad, this campground is next to the 15-acre Cherokee Lake. It has multiple historic buildings and trains you will want to check out while exploring the park. 30 and 50 amp sites are available as well as water and sewer hook-ups. In the fall, the foliage is absolutely fantastic! Don't miss out on this great campground. We are a family of hikers based in Dallas that love to travel frequently in our RV. We are on the road as often as possible and enjoy discovering alpine lakes, slot canyons, natural arches, and other interesting landforms all over the U.S. and sharing our adventures with everyone. When we explore our state of Texas, we always try discovering new local places the whole family will enjoy. If you like hiking, camping, and photography related content, please follow us!
