The most beautiful waterfall near Aspen plus an ice cave?! | The Grottos Trail

There's just something about this trail near Aspen, Colorado. Located just 9 miles from Independence Pass is The Grottos Trail in the White River National Forest. It is great for hikers of all skill levels due to it being a short hike of under one mile with minimal elevation gain. This loop includes a pretty neat ice cave, some interesting glacial erosion marks, and a fantastic waterfall that you definitely need to see if you are in the area! It's the perfect hike for families. We are a family of hikers based in Dallas that love to travel frequently in our RV. We are on the road as often as possible and enjoy discovering alpine lakes, slot canyons, natural arches, and other interesting landforms all over the U.S. and sharing our adventures with everyone. When we explore our state of Texas, we always try discovering new local places the whole family will enjoy. If you like hiking, camping, and photography related content, please follow us!
