The most beautiful waterfall near Aspen plus an ice cave?! | The Grottos Trail

There's just something about this trail near Aspen, Colorado. Located just 9 miles from Independence Pass is The Grottos Trail in the White River National Forest. It is great for hikers of all skill levels due to it being a short hike of under one mile with minimal elevation gain. This loop includes a pretty neat ice cave, some interesting glacial erosion marks, and a fantastic waterfall that you definitely need to see if you are in the area! It's the perfect hike for families.
