America's Prettiest Off-Road Drive in the Fall? | Owl Creek Pass | Easy Off-Roading

Owl Creek Pass is an absolute must-do fall drive for anyone in the Ridgway, Ouray, or Silverton area of Colorado! We think it might just be America's prettiest off-road drive in the fall with all of the spectacular aspens glowing yellow in the sunlight. If you are looking for some easy off-roading where you can take a two-wheel drive vehicle (but possibly not in wet conditions), this might be the road for you. Owl Creek is a well-graded dirt road that goes up to Silver Jack Reservoir in the Uncompahgre National Forest. It is an excellent drive for photographers! We are a family of hikers based in Dallas that love to travel frequently in our RV. We are on the road as often as possible and enjoy discovering alpine lakes, slot canyons, natural arches, and other interesting landforms all over the U.S. and sharing our adventures with everyone. When we explore our state of Texas, we always try discovering new local places the whole family will enjoy. If you like hiking, camping, and photography related content, please follow us!
