Discover Several Intriguing Caves on This Short Hike in West Texas

If you are looking for a good hike for your family in Texas near Amarillo, try the Palo Duro Caves hike located in Palo Duro Canyon State Park! It's a short one mile hike to several caves the whole family can enjoy. Make sure to get on the trail early in the day or late in the evening in the summer as temperatures can get pretty high. If you are lucky, you might just spot some roadrunners in the campground. We are a family of hikers based in Dallas that love to travel frequently in our RV. We are on the road as often as possible and enjoy discovering alpine lakes, slot canyons, natural arches, and other interesting landforms all over the U.S. and sharing our adventures with everyone. When we explore our state of Texas, we always try discovering new local places the whole family will enjoy. If you like hiking, camping, and photography related content, please follow us!
