Denver is the capital of Colorado and is rich in attractions and establishments like the Denver Art Museum and therefore the mansion of Molly Brown, the famous Titanic survivor. It is also home to world-class cultural and city park attractions that have drawn people from all places to visit this place. But, not all areas within this place are somewhat safe. These are the worst places in Denver that you simply should not visit or plan to live on to.

Top 5: Jefferson Park

This rising neighborhood is watched out for thanks to its growing residential and business-related development. It offers affordable homes which is why there’s quite a lot of individuals living here. This place also contains a good amount of bars, restaurants, coffee shops, parks, and other amenities. Despite the nice qualities that Jefferson Park has, crimes and other misfortunes are still present here.

If you’re a resident of this area, you have a 1 in 15 chance of becoming a victim of crimes either property or violence. The schools here also are below average and had low ratings from the previous attendees, meaning, schools here are still under improvement and had low quality of teaching. The crimes here had a decrease and yet, property crimes are still a thing even with policemen patrolling everywhere.

Top 4: Central West Denver

This neighborhood is one of the largest and includes a cost of living that is 7% more expensive than the U.S. average. People often consider this place as "the best and also the worst" due to the opposite matters in this area. To make you understand, this place has crime issues equivalent to the number of people who are living a costly life here. Of course, property crime perpetrators would likely take advantage of more privileged homes as they could get more from it.

Although it’s a 1 in 17 chance of being victimized of crimes here, public transits are surprisingly safe and free from pickpockets so your valuable belongings are definitely safe. However, if you are one of the residents here who happen to possess such expensive property, then you are not safe for crimes like robbery or burglary.

Top 3: City Park

Home to the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, this neighborhood with an 8,202 population has crime rates that increase year by year.

For the ladies who want to take a walk or a bike ride around the area, it is only safe during the day. People are also advised to take good care of their belongings to avoid getting mugged off possessions or important stuff. Despite that, police here patrol often and that is why street crimes aren't a thing, but violent and property crimes are.

Top 2: Capitol Hill

This place is where the Titanic survivor Molly Brown's mansion is located. Although rich in restaurants, bars, and commercial activities, this place is not exempt from such crimes.

It has a 351% higher violent crime rate in all of Denver while property crimes are 295%. The crimes here are not very often since the police are patrolling all over the street corners, but people especially females who walk at night are not really ensured of safety. Thefts and other violent crime perpetrators are still lurking around this area. Still, not a good place to settle at.

Top 1: Five Points

One of the oldest areas in Denver, and home to many leaders, Five Points remains the most dangerous place to live.

The crime rate in this place increases rapidly but unfortunately, the police tend to be quite tardy and they respond slowly to emergencies. Public transportation is totally not safe due to the chances of our cash getting mugged off. Having a 1 in 9 chance of becoming a victim, walking at night is a total concern especially if you are a female. As the years went by, Five Points is still considered the worst place in Denver.

Although Denver is culturally rich and healthy on the surface, there are no doubts that it still contains a dangerous and worst place to live in. If you happen to live or you are planning to visit one of the places stated above, better be careful.
