This Barnes & Noble store is in the middle of a strip mall, right next to H Mart. There's a large kids section in the back, which is why we went. The only thing I'd say was a bit lacking is seating in the kid's area. Similar to other Barnes & Noble's, there's a Winnie the Pooh stage, a Dr. Seuss area, and ample books for kids. Overall, a great place to take your kids to read and find books they like.
What a great deal for brand new recent Scholastic books! The warehouse is open to the public for 50% off all books and select books are only $1 or $3. Educators can sign up online to get a Fast Pass and receive a discount. They have a huge selection of non-fiction, fiction, award-winning, children's, YA, reference, graphic novels, etc. It's a great way to stock up on summer reading and classroom books. The books were organized by grade but the warehouse itself was not in any particular order. I would walk down an aisle thinking it had all the K-3 books but then come across YA mystery novels at the end of the aisle. It was confusing and took a lot of effort to find the rest of the K-3 books.
A small, independent bookstore, owned and operated by Wayne, a lifelong book lover. If he doesn't have it, he can order it for you. If you want to talk about books, you've come to the right place. Used books are so much cheaper than new ones. The store's special strengths are science fiction and fantasy books, anime and collectible comic books, and a wide range of fantasy and science fiction collectibles, but there are children's bookshelves and history book shelves, and great American literature book shelves.
According to many customers, Federal Way is a brilliant combination of the bookstore, gift shop, community center, and food court whose atmosphere makes this a common gathering place for the local community, as well as a favorite hangout for residents.
