The holiday season is all about spreading love, warmth, and a little extra sweetness. What better way to do that than with a jar of homemade spiced Christmas jam? This is not just any jam; it's a jar of holiday magic! It's the perfect gift to be shared with your neighbors and cherished loved ones. This jam is packed with the vibrant flavors of strawberries, the zing of cranberries, and a medley of festive spices. First, you are going to taste the luscious strawberries, then the tartness of cranberries, and suddenly, an explosion of holiday spices. It will leave your taste buds saying, "Wowza!"

This is an easy water bath canning recipe and one that everyone will be grateful to receive. This is a great recipe to try your hand at canning!

The recipe makes 12 to 8-ounce jars.

  • 40 ounces of frozen, unsweetened strawberries
  • 1 lb. fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 5 Cups of granulated
  • 2 packets of liquid fruit pectin (3 ounces each)
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp. ground allspice
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cloves

  • Using a water bath canner, fill it with water( 2/3 rds full), place your lid over the top, and bring to a boil.
  • Using a food processor or a blender, pulse your strawberries and cranberries. Once pulsed, add your fruit to an 8-qt. pot.

  • Add in your sugar and spices, and stir to combine. Bring your fruit to a full, rolling boil. You want to boil for 60 seconds. Stir.
  • After boiling, take your pot off the heat and add your liquid pectin. Place the pot back on the burner and return your mixture to a full boil again. Boil for another 60 seconds. Make sure you are constantly stirring. After a minute, remove from heat.

  • Using a spoon, remove or skim off any foam from the top.
  • Ladle your mixture into hot, sterilized, prepared jars (I used pints for this). Fill your jars within 1/4 inch of the top. Wipe the rim of the jar, cover it with your sterilized lid, and screw your bands on tightly.

  • Add your jars to the canner. Make sure your jars are covered with at least 2 inches of water. Add your lid and bring the water to a boil.
  • Process your spiced Christmas jam for 10 minutes.
  • Remove your jars and place them on a towel to cool. Allow 24 hours to seal, check, and make sure your lids are sealed. If your lid springs back, your lid has not sealed, and you will need to refrigerate.

Enjoy Friends! ❤️🎄
