A Trip Down Memory Lane - Rainbow Sherbet Punch

Ridley's Wreckage

My gramma use to make this punch at ALL of our family get togethers for us kids. We thought she was a magician the way she got the punch to be so fizzy, creamy and pretty. Little did I know just how easy it was to make such a magical drink! This punch has such fond memories from childhood, it really brings me back to the days when things seemed far simpler, family always came first and life just seemed to move at a slower pace.

This punch only has three key ingredients and is so simple that you can throw it together when guests are pulling in the driveway. It’s full of flavor and yes it has it’s fair share of sugar - but heck its a party let’s live a little! Sometimes if I’m feeling super magical I’ll add fresh blueberries, some sliced strawberries and canned mandarin oranges to float on top. Either way this punch is always a crowd pleaser!

Ingredients:

  • Your favorite Lemon/Lime soda - Sprite/Sierra Mist/7up
  • Hawaiian Punch
  • Rainbow Sherbet
  • Sliced strawberries, blueberries, canned mandarin oranges (optional)

Directions:

  • Mix together in a large punch bowl, equal parts of Sprite/Sierra Mist or 7up with your Hawaiian Punch. Next using an ice cream scoop, add your rainbow sherbet over the top (I get a little heavy handed with mine as I just love the colors with the punch and it’s freakin delicious!). Serve immediately once you have added your sherbet.
  • Make sure to chill your soda and Hawaiian Punch prior to making your rainbow sherbet punch, everything tastes so much better cold! This comes together very quickly so I would not recommend making this punch ahead of time as you will lose some of the fizziness from your lemon lime soda.
