Heidi Duckler and Friends and their extended family of company members staged short site-specific sound pieces. The pieces performed around eight sites in LA's historic Chinatown Park. The theme of the performances is based on climate change and its implications on public health.
The short pieces were evocative and eclectic, with the natural environment with a vignette of the skyline and the passing trains. The permanent and temporary installations in the park created a meandering path for innovation and unexpected encounters. Each performance is about 10 minutes, and it took approx one hour to cover all the dance performances.
Every dance performance is unique and different from one another. Heidi and the team generated a range of experiences and emotions from the surreal dance pieces. Most of them had live musical instruments, including drums, violin, and conventional wind instruments. It was a lifetime experience to witness such lively and evoking performances.
