Your New Year's resolutions may include eating healthy, but you should also be careful about that.
On December 30, 2021, The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported 4 people had been hospitalized after eating package salad, and one of them had kidney failure known as (hemolytic uremic syndrome.)
There was E.coli outbreak in six states associated with package salad.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) also advise people if you store it in your fridge immediately throw it out and wash the surface thoroughly if any surface has come in contact with the salad.
Immediately consult your doctor if you have any E.coli symptoms such as:
- High fever more than 102°F
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Bloody diarrhea
- Dry throat and mouth
- Feeling dizzy
Generally, symptoms showed up in 3-4 days after consuming the bacteria content products.
Usually, people recover in 5 to 7 days, but an infected person may also develop kidney failure in some cases.
