$1400 payment could hit eligible taxpayer bank accounts.

Richard Scott

There is a piece of great news for some Americans, as they can get a payment of up to $1400 in addition to their tax refund in 2022. Before that, you have to meet specific criteria such as citizens having to be a parent of a child born in 2021 or someone who has a new dependent.

Stimulus checks (Economic Impact Payments) which are sent in 2021, are advance payments of the Recovery Rebate Credit. If you didn't get your full amount by December 31, you could claim it when you file your taxes in 2022.

Which State is offering these checks?

A Federal budget to administrate will provide these funds to All of the states. However, the State's Administration will make the final decision on how they will spend these funds and what will be the various benefits that will be part of this plan.

Which are specific criteria to meet?

  • Eligible Taxpayers must be gross income under $75,000, or $150,000 if they are married and filing jointly.
  • Dependents can be under 19 years old unless they're a student, and then they can be up to twenty-four years old.
  • Dependents can be of any age if they are permanently disabled.
