Researchers predicted dangerous hurricanes could cause mass destruction in Florida.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration(NOAA) reported data on hurricane history.

The report shows Florida has faced the most number of hurricanes from 1853 to 2021 in America. In total, Florida was hit by 120 hurricanes, of which 37 are major hurricanes from Category 3 to 5.

And researchers claimed this is not the worst. Due to climate change, more dangerous hurricanes could cause mass destruction in Florida.

Due to climate change raising sea levels, more intense hurricanes will increase storm surges by 25-47% under a moderate emissions scenario and 40-70% under a higher one. And coastal flooding frequency and severity also increase.

Researchers Predicted this hurricane surge would be up to 70% higher than 1992 Hurricane Andrew (Peak surge 17ft.)

According to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration(NASA) study, climate change makes hurricanes more frequent and more severe, approximately 21 percent more storms form for every 1.8 degrees Fahrenheit that sea surface temperatures rise.

And it was predicted sea surface temperatures might rise up to 4.8 degrees Fahrenheit by the end of the century.

The impact of climate change can be reduced if we decrease carbon dioxide from our surroundings; our small steps make the world a better place. For that, start planting trees, switch to solar energy.
