Miami-Dade County is one of the beautiful areas in Florida. Because of the beauty of this area, it is also a favorite place of many big celebrities.

However, in the recent survey, it is found that Miami-Dade County is the riskiest area in Florida. This survey is not based on the crime rates.

In a survey, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) calculated the risk for each county in the united state for 18 types of natural disasters, such as hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, floods, volcanoes, and tsunamis.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) reported a list of the U.S's 10 "riskiest" counties.

Miami-Dade is the only county in Florida that was on the list.

It ranked fourth riskiest county in whole America and the riskiest county in Florida.

According to National Risk Index, the Miami-Dade County risk index score is 63.93, which is very high. All the other counties in Florida have a lower score than Miami-Dade.

Here is the list of risks in Miami-Dade county :

  1. Lightning: Score 100.00 (Very High).
  2. Coastal Flooding: Score 94.01 (Very High).
  3. Riverine Flooding: Score 77.21 (Very High).
  4. Tornado: Score 76.76 (Very High).
  5. Cold Wave: Score 64.58 (Very High)
  6. Hurricane Score 58.93 (Very High)
  7. Wildfire: Score 54.45 (Relatively High)
  8. Drought: Score 31.27 (Relatively High)
  9. Strong Wind: Score 20.21 (Relatively Moderate)
