David McCullough is an American historian, author, narrator, and lecturer. He has three Pulitzer Prizes for his books about the American Revolutionary War, the Wright brothers, and John Adams. His work has been published in more than 20 languages and has sold more than 10 million copies. Struck by a speech from one of his classes and inspired by his local library growing a community garden to raise money for new books, McCullough began writing at the age of 45.
