There are few things more synonymous with The Masters than the green jacket that is given to the winner of the storied golf tournament.

The first jacket was bestowed upon Horton Smith, winner of the Augusta National Invitation Tournament, in 1934. The tournament's current name wasn't adopted until 1939 when Ralph Guldahl beat the legendary Sam Snead. Since then, green jackets have become synonymous with the greatest names in golf, from Ben Hogan to Arnold Palmer to Jack Nicklaus to Tiger Woods.

Younger winners like Jordan Spieth, Hideki Matsuyama, and Scottie Scheffler have shared just how much wearing the green jacket means to them. It is the cornerstone of golf's most exclusive fraternity.

It's also the perfect inspiration for the first drink in our The Master's Cocktail Series this year. While there's nowhere I would rather be than Augusta this week, we're making lemonade out of lemons -- or at least really good drinks out of a terrible ticket lottery.

What you need:

What you do:

  1. Add Bacardi, Sour Apple Pucker, and sparkling lemonade to shaker filled with ice.
  2. DO NOT SHAKE. Swirl ingredients well.
  3. Strain into glass with ice.
  4. Enjoy!

I’m a huge fan of how light and refreshing this drink is. It's perfect for spring. It would also easily translate to a batch recipe for a punch bowl or drink dispenser during a Masters party.

Whether you're spending Masters Week at Augusta National or your weekend involves more parenting and fewer pimento cheese sandwiches (like ours this year), cheers, and may your favorite golfer hit many birdies on Sunday.
