Browns Nick Chubb OUT for Patriots game

Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald wrote: The Patriots have caught a major backfield break. Browns running backs Nick Chubb and Demetric Felton have been ruled out for Sunday’s game, Cleveland coach Kevin Stefanski announced Friday. Both players tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this week and missed all three of the team’s practices. Chubb is the Browns’ leading rusher and best offensive player. Through seven games, he’s rushed for 721 yards and six touchdowns, while averaging more than six yards per carry. The two-time Pro Bowler is a major reason why Pats inside linebackers coach Jerod Mayo called defending Cleveland’s run game the toughest challenge his defense will see all season. In their place, the Browns are expected to start third-year backup D’Ernest Johnson, who broke out for 146 yards in his only start of the season last month against Denver. Johnson is averaging 5.3 yards per attempt behind Cleveland’s elite offensive line.
