Dust off the bagpipes and don your kilt: The 64th Highland Games are Saturday, September 16th.

For most of the summer, Idlewild Park in Ligonier Pennsylvania boasts rides and a waterpark. For one day each September, the park transforms into the Scottish Highlands. Prepare to immerse yourself in a whole day of Scottish music, dance, games, and food. Musicians, bands, dancers, and athletes compete all day to determine the best. The sound of Harps, Fiddles, Drums, and of course, Bagpipes will fill the air. Among the heavy athletic events will be: Celtic Stone Lifting and the famous Caber Toss. Reenactors will demonstrate many aspects of historic Scottish life. Vendors will be on hand selling Scottish-themed items. Scottish Clans will gladly help visitors trace their Scottish heritage.

The festivities start at 8 in the morning and continue till after 5.
