One of the prime places to visit in Indianapolis is The Garage, an old Coca-Cola factory converted into a Food Hall and shopping center. We had a great time spending a couple of hours here shopping in souvenir shops and trying out J's Lobster and Fish Market and Azúcar Morena. For a full list of food vendors at The Garage, click here.

Best Souvenir Shop - Pumkinfish

The main souvenir shop in The Garage is Pumkinfish, which carries lots of cute, customized Indianapolis items and snacks from locally-owned businesses. You can read my full review of Pumkinfish here. If you are in need of a magnet or other Indianapolis keepsake, this is a great shop to pop into.

Pro tip: Don't buy the South Bend Chocolate Company caramel corn here. There are plenty of Chocolate Cafés around Indianapolis where you can get it cheaper!

We tried out the Venezuelan food at Azúcar Morena and loved it. We ordered a chorizo arepa and a traditional Venezuelan lemonade and both were fantastic. This is currently the only location you'll find their business, but they are planning to expand in the future. Keep an eye out for the full review!

I ordered a lobster roll from J's Lobster and Fish Market, which also runs a food truck and offers event catering. The lobster was very buttery and the sandwich was completely full to the brim with lobster meat. Keep an eye out for my full review of J's!

Final thoughts

If you're headed to Indianapolis, The Garage needs to be #1 on your list of places to visit. The Food Hall is top-notch and will have you glad you made the drive. It is on the pricier side as it is a popular tourist spot, but don't let that discourage you. The food and souvenir shops are well worth the price. Plus, you will be only a crosswalk away from Pins Mechanical Company, a fun bowling bar!
